How do I clean stainless steel?

There are many different methods to cleaning stainless steel. To clean food from the surface, you may use a variety of household cleaners or ordinary soap and water. For polishing or removing fingerprints, we recommend any spray stainless steel cleaner on a soft or microfiber cloth. You can also use an all purpose WD-40 spray. Apply these polishes sparingly in the same direction as the grain on your stainless steel surface.

What is a convection oven?

Convection is simply the movement of heated air in the oven cavity. This requires adding a heating element to a fan in the rear of the oven, which creates a greater consistency of heat distribution. With convection you can bake on single or multiple oven racks at the same time. This feature can add a little more speed to the cooking process.

What is induction cooking?

Induction cooking uses magnetic coils beneath the cooking surface to cause ferrous metals in your pots and pans to rapidly heat.  Certain cookware is required and our rule of thumb is if a magnet will stick to it, it will work for induction cooking.  Induction provides instantaneous maximum heat and temperature change and is the fastest-cooking, most energy-efficient cooktop technology available.

How do I clean my electric glass cooktop?

For light cleaning, use any household non-ammonia based cleaner. For burned on spills, first use a flat-edged razor, then use a soft scrub such as Bar Keeper’s Friend® to remove remaining spill. Always follow with any cream glass cooktop cleaner.

Are there any stainless steel finishes that do not finger print?

There are several finishes available, which are fingerprint resistant. No finish is fingerprint proof. The other advantage to these finishes would be ease of cleaning. You may use any non-ammonia based kitchen cleaner on these surfaces. Examples include G.E. CleanSteel®, Frigidaire Real Stainless Steel, Hotpoint Silver Metallic, & Whirlpool Satina®.

What is dual fuel?

Absolutely! You can use numerous types of cookware on a glass electric cooktop. With cast iron and other heavy or rough cookware, you must be very careful not to excessively shift or drag it. This can scratch your cooking surface.

Why do I need ventilation over my cooking surface?

Ventilation is not required in some areas, but we feel it is an important component in your kitchen. Not only does it protect your kitchen investment, ventilation addresses the need to control smoke, steam, odor and heat produced when cooking.
